A while ago, it was extensively reported that Ali would be joining TDP and he would even contest as an MLA from Guntur on the party ticket.

However, things changed quickly and Ali joined in YCP earlier today. He said that the people of Andhra Pradesh want Jagan as their CM and that is the reason why is supporting the YCP chief.

When asked why he didn't join Janasena, Ali said friendship is different from politics. He opined that Jagan is the favorite to emerge victorious in AP polls and he would prefer to stay on the winning side.
