Hyderabad, Nov 30 (IANS) As many as 300 exhibitors, 5,000 marketing delegates and 500 investors from around the world will take part in the fourth edition of Indywood Film Carnival (IFC), a key media and entertainment expo, which will open here on Saturday.
To be held at the HITEX Convention Centre, the event will wind up on next week.
IFC 2018 will be one-stop platform for showcasing the latest technology and future possibilities in filmmaking, skill development, pre-production, production, technical support, post-production, distribution, marketing and release.
It is the brainchild of Sohan Roy, a marine engineer by profession, who operates out of Dubai and is into the entertainment industry.
"The Carnival is expected to accelerate the growth of Indian film industry through materialising big budget movie projects, co-production ventures and B2B meets," Roy said.
He said the Indian film industry should come forward to conceive and implement big budget international projects instead of following cliched subjects and treatment pattern.
"'Baahubali' is a perfect example. The movie industry will fetch huge gains if we increase the number of international projects by using advanced technology and world-wide distribution. IFC is an attempt to educate the stakeholders about the importance of such projects," he said.
